So with that, now on to travel tips & tricks!
Some you may know some may be like oh wow that’s smart! I did not take the pictures if they get posted and I did extensive research on finding any travel facts or tips.
So today I am going to do some tips from the dollar store, because we all know that traveling is hard enough and we want to make it easier and compact as possible for carry ons or size requirements and of course the ever loving TSA requirements (some are some aren’t)! SO LETS KICK IT!
1. When going on a road trip and if you will be making several stops before getting to your destination, pack a weekend bag that you can just grab and go when you’re going into the hotel instead of trying to lug and unpack the whole car for your suitcase. It also makes it easier in the morning when you leave that you don’t have a lot to pack meaning you can get back on the road faster!
2. Mesh pop up or bags. Grab these one or two depending on kids to put all dirty clothes in there that way you can keep your stuff separate and not all over the room. Also, the mesh bag is great for taking sand toys to the beach to shake out the sand!
3. Shower caps grab some of these to cover the bottom of your shoes when packing to prevent your clothes from getting dirty!
4. Grab some cheap flip flops from the dollar store to wear to the beach 🏖️. That way if they break or get nasty you can just toss them. They are also great for shower shoes if need be!
5. First aid ⛑️ kit. The dollar store usually has little first aid kits that are great for packing and tacking on day trips or excursions. You can just toss it in a bag and go and if there is a cut or boo boo then you are ready.
6. I have seen the cutest little carry bags at the dollar store that is great for throwing a few items in for the day! They are lightweight and easy to tote around.
7. Zip lock bags. Grab plenty of these. They are great for putting snacks in or I have even seen people roll up their clothes and put an outfit in a ziplock bag to pack!
8. Colorful duct tape. The bolder the better! Place it on your suit case if you are flying to easy identify your luggage quickly and easily.
9.Grab some night lights. They are cheap and easy! Plug them in if you have little ones or if you just want to see in an unfamiliar environment.
10. How many times do you take your best sunglasses 😎 and they break or get scratched or lost? Check out a cheap store that you can grab some fashionable glasses that you wouldn’t feel guilty if something happened!
11. The dollar store has a big selection of books and coloring books as well as puzzle books. Check this section out for great finds for the kudos and yourself for those downtimes.
12. Ok MY PERSONAL PET PEEVE… going to a hotel and there is 2 outlets and you have 10 things to be charged! Grab some plug adapters to add more space to plug things in! And don’t forget get long phone cords.
13. Baby wipes or deodorant. This you will want to empty the contents and use it to store money or keys or credit cards if your on the beach or you need to leave your hotel room!
14. Toothbrush holders- use these as cord containers! Or other storage!
15. Pill organizers - not just for pills!!! Use them for safe keeping of earrings and jewelry!
